After Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja too leaves Rhiti Sports

first_imgMS Dhoni may be riding on the success of his biopic that hit the silver screen this week but Rhiti Sports, the sports management company of his friend and business associate Arun Pandey has lost yet another key India cricketer, Ravindra Jadeja from their clientele.India’s spin all rounder Jadeja has signed up with Baseline Ventures who also manage India’s latest badminton sensation and Olympic silver medalist PV Sindhu.Much before Jadeja, India’s limited overs match winner Suresh Raina also moved out of Rhiti to another management firm to craft his own identity. Industry experts concur its been an unwritten secret of Indian cricket that the firm which manages the captain attracts maximum India stars.Dhoni is still the one-day captain but his cricketing stocks have gone down since he quit test cricket and has been struggling to regain his form and swagger of old. This is Baseline’s first foray in Indian cricket and they hope to make the most of it. “He is an integral part of the current Indian cricket team across all formats. We plan to fully exploit his commercial potential over the next few years where we help to build the brand Ravindra Jadeja. I think after his stellar role in India’s win in Champions Trophy 2013 and his IPL success, his brand could have been leveraged much better,” Tuhin Mishra, Managing Director & Co-Founder, Baseline Ventures told India Today.Another connected and significant development in the Indian cricket brand space has been Test vice-captain, Ajinkya Rahane signing up with Cornerstone who manage Indian cricket’s hottest property and Test captain Virat Kohli. advertisementlast_img
